Meant to compliment the casual men's fashion that is sold in our store, the high-quality artwork we show spans many genres. With a new show each month, our gallery intends to be adaptable to each artist's palette, allowing for installation pieces, videos, and other collaborations.

THIS MONTH: Paul John Kos

Paul John Kos creates Encaustic Art — art which is made by melting beeswax and using it as a pigment medium. As an individualist, drawing his own conclusions on the world, his pieces build on his observations as an outsider to the society he lives in.

He started exploring art at the age of sixteen and spent the last 10 years experiencing different artistic styles. He learned Encaustic Art as an intern at the Conrad Wilde Gallery in Tucson, while attending the University of Arizona.

In his work, Paul often uses abstract ideas, combined with roots in Color Field. He collects the materials for his work from different outlets and incorporates them into the pieces. He continues to further experiment in new ways to share and express his views on life.
